Mum's spuds

Welcome back to Reads Retreat. As if proof were needed, you don't need a lot of space to grow your own veg. Mum planted half a dozen seed pots in an old wooden box in her back garden, and nurtured and loved the growing plants. Topping up the compost as she went, all was looking great. Then terror set in around the middle of June as the foliage developed little brown spots. I feared it may have been blight, and advised mum to remove all the "brown-spotted" leaves and bin them. After a couple of weeks, mum decided to empty the box. Joy of joys prevailed, with a tidy harvest of 3 1/2 pounds of lovely New Potato's! Well done mum, hope you enjoy them.

TTFN.
